Is your Aadhaar card fake? How to check online?

There are many authorized and unauthorized centers in the country that register Aadhaar card for you. Unauthorized centers sometimes provide you fake Aadhaar cards and charge you a lot of money for it. How can you find out if the Aadhaar card number issued to you is real or fake? In this article, I am going to tell you how you can check the validity of your Aadhaar card online on the UIDAI website.

Process to verify Aadhaar card number online

  • First of all go to the UIDAI website and click on the 'My Aadhaar' link.
  • Now click on 'Verify an Aadhaar Number' link.

  • When you are on the 'Verify Aadhaar' page, you will get two options: Aadhaar Number and Captcha Verification.
  • Write your 12 digit Aadhaar number in Aadhaar Number.
  • And, in Captcha Verification, type the code which you will see in the image box.
  • After filling the above information click on Proceed to Verify button.
  • If the system verifies the Aadhaar number, it will show you the message 'Aadhaar Verification Completed!'
