What is SEO?
The full form of SEO is Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the process by which we make a website or blog such that search engines like Google, Bing can read and index the website.
Why is it important to do SEO for a website or blog?
If we want to search anything online, we search on Google. And if something is not on Google, then it will not be found when we search online. So now you think if your website is not on Google, will it be found on search? No.
Google is a search engine. There are other search engines like Google - Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, DuckDuckGo. But most of the searches in the world are done on Google only. When we search by typing a word on Google, Google finds the content related to that word in its database. Webpages in which that content matches, Google shows the links of those pages on the search engine result page (SERP).
Types of SEO
On-Page SEO
Optimizing the elements of a webpage for search engines and users is called on-page SEO.

- Make URLs short and include keywords in every URL
- add schema if possible
- Use custom photos instead of stock photos
- Use internal links
Off-Page SEO
Off-site SEO is called off-site because in this all techniques are done outside the website. Like - creating links for your website on other websites, creating your brand identity, increasing the visibility of your website on all popular social media.
Technical SEO
Technical SEO or on-site SEO has to work on those technical things of the website which leads to improvement in the entire website. In this, such methods are adopted so that the code and structure of the website can be improved so that the search engine understands the website better and gives higher rank.
Examples of Technical SEO -
- Create a sitemap for your website and submit it to search engines
- If the address of the webpage has changed permanently to another address, then redirect it with 301 code.
- Use technical SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Responsinator
