In such a situation, first of all check in your mobile phone whether Gmail app is working in your phone or not. If login on Gmail app is working properly then you can easily change the password.

How to change Google account password from Gmail app

1. Open the Gmail app on your phone and tap the user profile icon.

2. Now, tap on 'Manage your Google Account'.
3. And then inside the Security tab you have to open the Password.

Under Securit tab, go to Password
4. After this, you need to log in to your Gmail account with your existing password.
5. On the next screen you will see two boxes to set your new password.

You have to enter new password in box boxes
6. Keep in mind that the same password written in the upper box should be written in the lower box.
7. After entering the password, press 'Change password' button.

In this way the password of your Gmail and Google account will change.
