How to Start Meeting in Google Meet App

Google is known to have been working to make our life easier and that’s reason you’ll find varieties of products developed by Google. Understanding the current situation of pandemic, Google has made its meeting app – Google Meet free for all the users, it was earlier available only for G-Suite users.

To use Google Meet app on your phone, you only need your Google account and install the Google Meet app from this link: Install Google Meet app

After you have installed the app on your phone, just follow the steps below to start a meeting on the Meet app.

Start Meeting in Google Meet App

  • Open Meet app on your phone.
  • Continue with the instructions to allow Meet to access your phone’s camera and microphone.
  • Now, to start a meeting, click New meeting and it will give you a meeting link.
  • Share the meeting link with the people who have to join your meeting.
  • You’ll have the access to see all the participants who have joined your meeting, also you can send text to them using the Message section.
  • If you want to share your phone screen with the participants, back to the main screen and you’ll see Present and Rejoin.
  • Click Present and continue, it will start sharing your phone screen with all the participants in the meeting.
  • Please note that when you are sharing the screen of your phone, the participants will not be able to see you. They can only see your phone’s screen.
  • If you want to stop screen share, just click Stop sharing and screen sharing will stop and to rejoin the meeting, click Rejoin button.
  • To exit from the meeting, you can scroll the notification bar from the top and click LEAVE MEETING.
  • That’s it and enjoy the meeting.

How to create new Gmail account

Gmail is an email client developed by Google company and when you create your gmail account, this also becomes your Google account that you can use in all the Google products.

Why should you have a Gmail account?

Having an email account on Gmail brings a lot of advantages to you. With your Gmail ID, you can access all the Google products like Google Docs, Google Sheets, Googl Drive, Google Hangouts etc.

Gmail also has one of the best spam detection mechanism. It automatically identifies any spam on your gmail account and moves it out of Inbox. You’ll also see many websites today offers login with your Google account.

If you are using an Android smartphone, Google asks you to create a Google account. With your gmail account, you can use your Android phone and access the apps available in Google PlayStore.

How to create a new email account on Gmail

The first step is to visit so you’ll see a small form like this:

Click Create account and it will give you two options:

  1. For myself
  2. To manage my business

To create your personal email account, select For myself. You’ll see another form where you have to fill your details.

In the Username box, type only the ID that you want to use for your gmail account. You can give your username with mix of letters, numbers & dots. You do not need to add, it will automatically be added.

Type the password in the last two boxes, the password should match in both boxes.

Once you’ve filled all the details in the form, click Next button.

If the username you entered is not available for use, Gmail will show you with an error like you can see in the image below:

When you get such error, you’ll have to enter a new username till Gmail accepts your username. Once, the username is accepted, you’ll get the next page where it will ask you enter few more details.

In the image above, you can see it says Phone number is optional. Sometimes it may mandate to enter your phone number as a security procedure. It is always better to enter your phone number, it helps in recovering your Google account when you forget your password.

Enter your date of birth and other details and click Next button. You’ll see a Privacy and Terms page. You can read it and scroll down to get I agree and Cancel buttons.

Click I agree button and in few seconds, you’ll see Gmail Inbox page with a welcome message.

Now, if you want to see your new Gmail ID that you just created, click on the icon showing your First Name’s initial at the top-right corner as you can see in the image below.

Below mynewid is your new email ID on Gmail account that you can use across all Google products.

After you have done your work, always click Sign out to exit from your Google account so other person cannot use your account on the computer.


How to check if your train is cancelled

Indian Railways, known as the fourth largest railway network in the world, runs the trains mostly on time. However, sometimes there are delays in trains running on time and this happens because of several reasons like no signal to move to next station, winter fog, any accident on the track etc. When the trains delay, many people cancel the trains themselves bearing the cancellation charge. When there is any uncertainty like flood, heavy rain etc. Indian Railways cancels the trains and you get the full refund.

I would advise to always check your train’s status before you board the train. Usually when there is cancellation of trains, IRCTC sends a text message on your registered mobile number. Sometimes, the message comes few days later so you should not wait for a message to come. It’s best that you check the train status yourself.

Now, I’m going to tell you how you can check the cancelled trains list and confirm if your train is cancelled or not.

To check if train is cancelled

  • Click NTES. This is the official website for checking train status.
  • Click Trains Cancelled and you’ll find two options – Fully Cancelled Trains and Partially Cancelled Trains.
  • Fully Cancelled Trains – This will check if the train is fully cancelled from the train originating station to train destination station.
  • Partially Cancelled Trains – This will check if the train is cancelled between some stations.
  • Now, to check if the train is fully cancelled, click Fully Cancelled Trains and enter Train No and Start date. The start date will be train’s start date from the originating station, not your journey date.
  • If your train is fully cancelled, you’ll its name in the list.
  • You can also click Partially Cancelled Trains to check if your train is cancelled between few stations.
  • If your train is not cancelled, you will not see its name in the list.
